Professional Recital Series:  Dan Baker

MONDAY 6 NOVEMBER at 7.30pm, King's Room - Tickets £8 (£5 children)
Dan's love of music began at an early age - he started violin at six and piano lessons at eight.  With The Baker Brothers, he played seven tours of Japan, made four studio albums and two live albums.  This performance comes from Dan's desire to explore all musical possibilities and some of his kit is home-made - the drums, for example, are on a set of foot pedals, the bass is played on a keyboard with the left hand and the piano sounds are played with the right hand.  Dan has also taught music part-time for 20 years, 15 of those at Milton Abbey School.

Headmaster's Lecture:  The Story of Franco Manca

FRIDAY 10 NOVEMBER at 7.30pm, New Barn Theatre - Free Admission
Giuseppe Mascoli sparked a food revolution  in Brixton, South London, in 2008 when he set up his sourdough pizzeria 'Franco Manca'.  Mascoli was one of the first Europeans to 'invade' the then exclusively Afro-Carribean market that snakes its way through three blocks of Victorian buildings.  Today there are over 35 Franca Manca pizzerias and Giuseppe has just opened the first Franco Manca pizzeria outside the UK on the island of Salina, his 'home away from home'.

Headmaster's Lecture:  Entrepreneur in Residence - Nick Wheeler
